Events slated at Roosevelt Library

Roosevelt Library, 4026 28th Ave. S., will sponsor a number of events in the coming month:
--K-12 Homework help will be available every Tuesday in September, beginning Sept. 9, from 3:30-7:30pm. Free in-person tutoring for K-12 students. No advance sign-up needed.  
--Baby Storytime will be on Saturdays, Sept. 13–Oct. 11, at 9:30am. For children from birth to 24 months and their parent or caregiver. Talk, sing, read, write and play together in a format designed especially for babies. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement. 
--The Mystery/Thriller Adult Book Club meets on Sat., Sept. 6, 1pm. Join a discussion of new and interesting mystery and thriller titles. Bring along your recommendations for future meetings. In September they will be discussing “The Way of the Traitor” by Laura Joh Rowland.
-- "Paws to Read with an Animal" will take place Sat., Sept. 13, 3-5pm. This event is for families. Volunteers will help put young readers at ease so they can cuddle up with a certified therapy animal and practice reading aloud. Most libraries host dogs and you can call ahead to see if other animals will be visiting. 
--Family Storytime meets Tues., Sept. 23 and 30 at 6:30pm. For children of all ages and their parent or caregiver. Talk, sing, read, write and play together in a format appropriate for young children. Share books, stories, rhymes, music and movement.
