Evening with Wendell Potter June 22

On June 22, 2021 at 6:30 p.m., Health Care for All Minnesota (HCAMN) will be hosting an information session with Wendell Potter, New York Times bestselling author, advocate for health insurance payment reform and founder of The Center for Health and Democracy, which serves as a counter to corporations, lobbyists and others who spread disinformation or exert undue political influence on the policy-making process.

The Tuesday evening conversation, done in partnership with the Center for Health and Democracy and Physician for a National Health Plan Minnesota, is titled: Now More Than Ever - Time to End the Corporate Control of Our Health Care System. It will focus on Mr. Potter's decades of experience working within the insurance industry and his crisis of conscience that led him to step out of the industry and advocate for major reforms to our insurance system. Mr. Potter will focus on the way in which the health insurance industry answers to Wall Street rather than the American people.

Health Care for All Minnesota is dedicated to promoting affordable high-quality healthcare for every Minnesotan through advocacy, education and community organizing. The nonprofit hosts monthly virtual education sessions and works with legislators and other organizations to build consensus around a health care model that centers the needs of the people first.
