Political platform statement
Why I am running for this office: My name is Clint Conner. I am running for Mayor of Minneapolis because I love this city. Minneapolis should be leading on the global stage, yet the city is spiraling as the world is watching. If I am elected, we will rediscover our city’s potential together. I want to use my knowledge of the law and my passion to propel Minneapolis forward. Together, we can make our wonderful city safe, equitable, and vibrant. My roots are here, and my wife and I are raising our three kids here. I have volunteered locally as a lawyer to help low-income tenants, support protesters, and uphold election protection. One month ago, I resigned as a partner at a downtown law firm and jumped into the race to serve you, the people of Minneapolis. My vision is to restore the cornerstones of what makes a city great: safe streets, affordable and livable housing, and a vibrant small business economy. I see a future with service-minded police officers who love this city’s diversity and are worthy of your trust. A future in which our renters have stability, where all housing is healthy, and we see homeownership increase across all communities. And I see a future where Minneapolis’s economy is bustling from north to south and east to west, and we lead in clean energy.
