THE VALIANCE OFFERS AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Agate Housing + Services and Trellis Co. invite the community to celebrate the completed construction of The Valiance (2810 27th Ave. S), featuring 50 new apartment homes and 54 shelter beds. This housing development adds affordable housing and shelter services to the area. The celebration on Thursday, Oct. 9, 3:30-5:30 p.m. will include a silent auction with proceeds supporting the shelter operations. See the new facility and learn about the services it will provide.

LINDA DOMHOLT JOINS YWCA Minneapolis

With over 20 years of experience, she brings a strategic, relationship-driven approach to fundraising – grounded in data, empathy and a deep respect for community voice.

STEWARD PARK WORK
After construction this summer, the new playground in Stewart Park (2700 S 12th Ave.) is complete. Fencing and shade structures will be added later this fall or next spring. Meanwhile, work continues on the major renovation at Stewart Recreation Center, which began in May and includes: New roof and heating system, installation of air conditioning, restroom relocation to the front of the building, new counters and cabinets in the crafts room and kitchen, and new front desk - flooring - windows and doors.
The recreation center closed for construction starting Monday, May 5. It is anticipated that the recreation center will re-open in January, with a springtime celebration for all of the park and recreation center upgrades.
