Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) honors retiring MSP FAA Traffic Management Officer

The latest Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) Noise Oversight Committee (NOC) meeting was held on Wednesday, July 15th. During the meeting, NOC members passed a resolution recognizing Sean Fortier, MSP FAA Traffic Management Officer, on his retirement at the end of the month. 

Fortier announced his retirement effective July 31, 2026 after more than 23 years of dedicated public service. Throughout his career, Fortier has demonstrated a strong commitment to transparency, collaboration, and public engagement that has greatly supported the work of the NOC and MSP airport community. At the July meeting, NOC members formally recognized Fortier's contributions by passing a resolution honoring his service to the FAA, airport stakeholders, the Noise Oversight Committee, and community members. 

Next NOC Listening Session – July 22
The MAC Community Relations Office hosts quarterly Listening Sessions for residents to receive updates on the NOC and its activities, to be briefed on MSP operations and procedures, and to have an opportunity to provide comments and ask questions on aircraft noise issues. 
 
The next MSP NOC Listening Session will take place on July 22nd from 6:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the Eagan City Hall in the Eagan Conference Room. Details can be found here: Listening Sessions. 
 
Next NOC Meeting – Sept. 16
The NOC is an advisory board to the MAC and is comprised of industry and community representatives who address aircraft noise issues associated with activity at MSP. The group meets on the third Wednesday of odd-numbered months.
