New skatepark open at Central Gym Park

The new skatepark at Central Gym Park (3416 Fourth Ave.) is complete.

Construction on the new skatepark began last September, with much of the work complete before it paused for the winter.

When construction resumes spring 2026 the work will included landscaping, lighting and decorative fencing. 

The skatepark’s design reflects ideas and feedback shared by the community during the 2024 engagement process. You can view renderings online

The design features a streetstyle skating area, a flow bowl integrated into the site and a variety of skate features including banks, manual pad, rails, slappy curb, ledges and bowl with roll over bump. Also included: an entry plaza and seating with shade from existing mature trees, as well as landscaping, lighting and decorative fencing.
