ON A BIKE SKILLS PARK

On Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, there were two Danish cargo bikes manuervering through the temporary bike skills course in Hiawatha-Lake Nokomis Regional Park on a repurposed tennis court. AT LEFT Royce Steenerson AT RIGHT Jessica Night and son Rune Night. The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board is planning a new bike skills park near Minnehaha Creek and 34th Avenue S, and this location will be closed when the new one opens. The upcoming bike skills park received $40,000 in funding from the Metropolitan Council Equity Grant Program, in addition to $264,000 in Park Dedication Fees allocated to the project.
