In honor of Juneteenth, the people of Minneapolis came together for the fifth annual Soul of the Southside Annual Festival, a free event hosted on E. Lake Street, 27th and Minnehaha Ave.
Soul of the Southside brings together artists, small business owners, musicians, and the community to celebrate Black creativity and culture. Though the storm ended up shutting the main stage early, it showcased many artists, including Kennadi Watkins, DJ Cassieopia, Gifted Hands, Obsidian James, and many more. It is organized by The Legacy Building.
