PROPOSED DESIGNS FOR HIAWATHA
New proposed designs for Hiawatha Park and Golf Course debut during an open house scheduled Thursday, Aug. 14, 6:30-8 p.m. at Lake Nokomis Community Center, 2401 E Minnehaha Parkway. Drop by any time between 6:30 and 8 p.m. to learn about the project, see proposed designs, and talk with the project team.

WORK AT STEWART PARK
Construction has begun on a new playground in Stewart Park, in addition to the major renovation at Stewart Recreation Center that began in May. New play equipment will be installed in both areas of the playground, with new poured-in-place rubber surfacing throughout. Construction is planned to be complete before school starts in September, barring delays for weather or construction.

RAIN IN THE TWIN CITIES
As of July 3, 2025, the Twin Cities had received 14.47 inches of precipitation, which is 0.67 inches below normal. However, nearly 40% of to-date precipitation fell during the month of June, which saw 1.14 more inches than usual.
